What is Energy Psychology?
Energy psychology is an amazing new paradigm in psychotherapy that allows people to reach their goals and create happier lives in a rapid, highly effective manner. The techniques it uses are basically safe, easy to learn and result in true, lasting change. Basically, energy psychology is a term used for a broad range of interventions that work through and on the body's energy/vibrational systems. The techniques are non-invasive, have no side effects, can be done easily and are applicable to a vast array of physical and psychological problems. Based on the premise that, just as we have visible, physical bodies, we also have invisible "energy bodies" or fields that are just as real as the flesh and blood ones we see in the mirror. It is in these unseen bodies, as well as our physical bodies, that energy becomes blocked or stuck. These blockages hold our fears, negative memories, limiting belief and unhappiness in place. An individual may have gone through years of psychotherapy, gained much insight and perhaps even improved their behaviors, but under it all the problem still exists and continues to effect their lives. Despite all their hard work and conscious efforts to change, they same problems or feeling keep happening over and over again. It's as if there's a powerful magnet only letting a person get so far away, and then the old and powerful negativity pulls them back into their problems or pain. Energy psychology breaks the "pull" of those old behaviors and thoughts so that the individual can finally move forward into true lasting change and happier lives. I often compare energy psychology techniques to antibiotics. There are many different types of antibiotics and they are all effective. Some work better for certain issues than others, but they all operate from the same basic principal: they block and destroy cells that create infections or illness in the body. The body is then free to use it's own resources to return itself to health. The same basic premise applies to the use of energy techniques. We are applying specific techniques, our own personal combination of "antibiotics", to deal with specific issues, so that the mind and body can restore themselves to health. Although the techniques are particularity effective in dealing with issues or trauma, phobia, and painful memories or loss, they are applicable to a vast array of issues and situations. This long list includes physical issues as well as psychological issues. Healing that results from energy psychology is most often rapid, powerful and lasting. In addition, these techniques can be used by anyone, at any time, for any reason. If it doesn't work, no harm is done. There are basically no side effects and little time is spent in waiting to see if the work has been helpful. Progress is seen quickly and motivates future work. I know it sounds too good to be true. But it is and now you can try it for yourself. In my book, A FROG IN MY BASEMENT: A THERAPIST'S CURIOUS JOURNEY INTO ENERGY PSYCHOLOGY AND THE LAW OF ATTRACTION I present actual case histories, as well as my own very personal story, to help people understand how they can use these techniques to change their own lives in powerful and positive ways. It is also a primer into energy psychology and the Law of Attraction to further acquaint you with the process and to give you steps you can try right away. I hope you will allow it's message to inspire you and give you hope for your own growth and happiness. Although I use a variety of techniques in my psychotherapy practice two of my favorites are Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT)©
